Adopting A Friend
Ginger
Ginger is a very sweet and mild mannered Senior Canine Citizen (16 years old!!) that just entered our rescue system. As expected she is somewhat frail but gets around very well for a dog her age. She needs a very special loving home INDOORS ONLY with someone who can help her spend her remaining days in comfort and companionship.

If you are interested in adopting a lifelong Irish Setter friend, here's the three step process: Step 1. Read everything you can find on the Irish Setter breed. Discuss the adoption commitment carefully with your family and friends. We want our placements to be "forever homes" and a good match for both the human and the dog. Irish Setters are not "gifts" or "surprise Christmas or Birthday presents". Step 2. Carefully read our Rescue Contract. It details both your responsibilities and ours in the placement of a Rescue Irish Setter. You will be required to sign this contract as a part of the adoption process. Step 3. Complete our Rescue/Foster/Adoption Application. This will give us the necessary information to insure that the dog will be in a good forever home and will be a good match for your situation. Someone from our Rescue Committee will then contact you to answer any questions and to schedule a home visit. Please note that we charge a fee for the placement of the Rescue Irish Setter (typically $150.00 but sometimes higher in special cases). This helps to defer our veterinary costs.
Please send any questions, inquiries or comments to the Rescue Committee Chairman last updated: 6/26/2008 We're always in need of funds to cover the immediate expenses of our Rescue Program and will gladly accept any donations. "If you don't own a dog, at least one, there is not
necessarily anything wrong with you, but there may be something wrong with
your life." Each calendar year our club participates in a number of events to raise public awareness of disadvantaged dogs and the program that saves them. The new owners of these lucky dogs are invited to join the club, and participate in family fun!
